When we get to the end of Lake Ontario we have to take the mast down to travel throught the Erie Canal to the Hudson River. Grandpa was a big help here and we finally got it together!

- Shirley Mather, Dave Dawe and Christopher Dawe
- We were new sailors, from Mono Centre, Ontario embarking on an exciting family adventure. Shirley and Dave turned 50 that year and we thought this is a good way to do it! Christopher, who has Down Syndrome, turned 16. He enjoyed "boat schooling" on this adventure. He also hoped to come across as many trains as possible!
